Paco Chair.



I was asked by a friend to design dining chairs for his family.

The design was meant to be stackable & extremely durable by combining a welded metal frame with seat & backrest from solid wood. A pleasant element of surprise is what I was aiming for on multiple levels: The chair is very straight, yet when sitting on it, one discovers unexpected comfort through a subtle inclination of seat & backrest CNC-milled into the solid oak. Additionally, it seems to be very heavy due to the large diameter of the tubular frame but in reality is rather lightweight because it is aluminium.

Paco Chair was nominated for the 2021 IMM Cologne Pure Talents Award.
